As I mentioned and promised I wanted to share some of our great roadtrip songs with you. I am going to start out with a nice and smooth track from Deadmau5 – I can´t behave myself. It´s not as special as my second song, but it´s a track where all fits and comes together and makes it enjoyable listening. They took a good electro tune, put some vocals over and tadaa! A good song is born.
I just found out now by researching a little, that this track isn´t really made with Deadmau5´s approval. He just sent some of his older tracks and portfolio out to maybe get some new collaborations on the way. Somehow EMI got hold of it, got a girl called Neon Hitch in to sing some lyrics, and out came something Deadmau5 didn´t even know of, until it was played on the radio! Crazy world, isn´t it? Everybodys stealing from one another and covering songs over and over and over. I guess, that´s allways been a part of music business and some competition is never bad, right? Still it sounds a little crazy.

Next track got really the track on our trip. At least in the mobilehomes we had a lot to do with. It is a pretty old track from the not very wellknown band Yazoo. They topped the charts in the beginning of the 80s with some good synthpop tracks, which as a matter of fact still are kind of modern. When hearing the music I didn´t think it was allmost 30 years old stuff we heard, because it all sounded so familiar and up-to-date. But well, we are in a time where synth pop is really modern again, people driving on their fixie bikes and being so hip. But, what´s wrong with some old school? Sounds good to me!
Our mobile home was as well going pretty good on the next ones I think. One of my alltime favourites from Yuksek – So Down with some help for the lyrics from Chromeo, was one of the most popular ones (this one i allready posted some time ago in january 2009.

High on the list stood a fairly new one I until now never had a chance to blog about. It´s from Gorillaz new album – Empire Ants and it´s a remix of my new love Miama Horror. The original track is really calm and dreamy, and takes your mind wondering off to far away places. The remix gives some more power to the track, by adding a bassline to the song. The song is still all dreamy, but you could now easily play it when having some friends over to drink a beer. It´s a perfect song for many occations. Definitely check it out; one of my favourites as well!
